For those currently working as engineers or designers

This course is aimed at profes­sionals working as engineers or designers within­fields likethe automotive industry, the defense industry, or a consultancy firm, who need knowledge in battery electric systems to remain competitive on the job market.

Entry requi­re­ments

  • Upper secondary diploma (EQF level 4) or equivalent knowledge from work experience
  • Two years of profes­sional experience as an engineer or designer with experience in mechanical design and CAD

The course is conducted in combination with work over 10 weeks

The training is carried out over ten weeks and can be combined with your current job. Upon successful completion, you will receive 50 YH credits and a course certificate.

Course objectives

After completing the course, you will have specialized knowledge in:

  • 3D-CAD design of battery electric systems
  • Commu­ni­cation within battery electric systems and electrical power transmission
  • Electrical safety
  • Design of electrical components and systems
  • Sustainable energy systems
  • Electronic and mechanical systems, components, and their properties

You will also gain knowledge of:

  • Standards and requi­re­ments in battery electric systems

Skills to:

  • Design battery electric systems
  • Identify, formulate, analyze, and solve complex problems, and carry out complex tasks as a designer within battery electric systems
  • Design components and systems with consi­de­ration for sustainable development
  • Profes­sio­nally communicate commitments and solutions within CAD design of battery electric systems in both national and inter­na­tional contexts
  • Integrate electrical and mechanical designs into products
  • Plan, execute, and identify resources needed for designing battery electric systems

Competence to independently:

  • Evaluate and motivate suitable designs for components in battery electric systems
  • Supervise and complete assigned projects within the field of battery electric system design
  • Handle the content of the field in a way that supports continued learning and profes­sional development

Student aid

This education is part of the Swedish Higher Vocational Education system (Yrkes­högskolan shortened YH) and qualifies for student aid via CSN.

Course certificate

Upon completing the course succesfully, you will receive 50 YH credits and a course certificate.
